According to Ayurveda, all living creatures and the universe are composed of three complementary energies or doshas:
1) Vata dosha leads to movement within the body. It involves all forms of motion in the mind and body like circulation, nervous transmission, elimination, peristalsis, breathing and the thought process. Vata influences the other doshas.
Pitta dosha can be balanced by its opposite qualities: cool environment with cool, heavy, oily diet that is sweet, bitter or astringent.
- Vata, signifies movement
- Pitta, signifies transformation
- Kapha, leads to stability.
