Ayurveda vs Allopathy

Ayurveda attacks the root cause of disease while Alllopathy suppresses the symptoms only

Ayurveda aims to ELIMINATE THE ROOT CAUSE of a disease so that it is not able to pop up again and again in the body. While allopathic medicine tends to focus on the management of SYMPTOMS ONLY.  They use symptomatic medicines only. But Ayurveda provides us with the knowledge of prevention of a disease and eliminates its root cause if it does occur.
For example- If we are suffering with pain, allopath will prescribe pain killer for immediate relief but forget that pain is response for the disturbed metabolism in concerned system. We should try to cure the underlying cause first. Pain killer will just mask the pain not cure from inside.
No doubt, antibiotics are of great importance. They kill the bacteria in the body. Many times useful healthy gut bacteria get destroyed. As a result, health of intestines gets altered. Poor assimilation of nutrients leads to poor health. Such treatments make our body weaker and more prone to other diseases. But Ayurveda stresses upon detoxification of body followed by ras-rasayana to provide nourishment as well. It aims to remove the deep seated toxins in the body and cleanses the micro-circulatory channels of circulation. Thus, providing the nourishment to weak body and prevents the disease from popping up again and again.

Allopathy provides immediate relief to our body but Ayurveda provides long lasting relief.
Let’s discuss the approach towards fever.
Allopath will give anti-pyretic to subside high temperature. After that, few antibiotics, anti-virals etc are prescribed to kill the pathogens. Now, if we give a deep thought, our body becomes a war field where antibiotics fight germs. Our body will be harmed sooner or later. Tissues had been destroyed. It will definitely lead to weakness.
But, in fever, ayurveda emphasizes on enhancing the immunity of body so that cells can be strong enough to fight the adverse situations in the body.
We should keep in mind that any bacteria, virus or pathogens needs a suitable base for its growth and we provide that base/that atmosphere. Rather we can say we invite them. But if we keep our body/systems strong enough, we can avoid their entry.
Same is the case with other systemic diseases, if we keep our systems clean and strong by detoxification and rejuvenation time to time, we can again avoid the disease.
Practically, it has been found in case of PYREXIA OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN, when no allopathic medicine works. No significant pathological lab reports are found. But, still, patient complains of fever or malaise. When we prescribe giloy satva (Rasayana), patient improves significantly. Treatment is followed by ras-rasayana to support the weak body.

Ayurveda attacks the cause but allopathy manages the symptoms with medicine only.
Modern science has given great contribution to society; we can not deny this fact. But, our body is getting weaker day by day as we are becoming reservoir for harmful toxins produced by chemicals used in medicine. These toxins will definitely give rise to new diseases. So, ayurveda aims to detoxify the body. Thus prevents the diseases in future.
