Why should we opt for Ayurveda?

Ayurveda, as an alternative system of medicine, is gaining recognition at the international level. Many people from outside India are fascinated with this holistic system of medicine. Ayurveda is a pure natural. It strongly believes that we are part of nature and nature has core ability to treat us. It is the only method of achieving complete wellness. Ayurveda targets the root cause of a disease not just on the symptoms of the disease. It provides different ways to maintain the health of a healthy individual. Yoga, daily regimens (Din charya), Seasonal regimens (Ritu charya) and Pathya –Apathya are mentioned to improve living standards. It takes longer time to cure but bears no side effects. The negative side is allopathy treatment is that it may cause side effects like hair loss, weak health, allergies and many more. No such side effects have been reported yet with Ayurveda. Most importantly Ayurveda prevents the recurrence of the diseases. The ancient system of medicine believes that detoxification of body as primary part of treatment. Purification/ detoxification can be done through panchkarma procedures. But modern medicine suppresses the signs and symptoms of the disease only. Moreover, Ayurveda treats patient and disease both while allopathy concentrates on the disease only. According to Ayurveda, diseases are mainly caused by vitiation of doshas, accumulation of ama and ojas kshaya. It believes that pacifying the doshas eliminates the diseases out of the body. Moreover, one can prevent the recurrence of the disease by preventing the accumulation of ama. We can say that AYURVEDA is a complete health package whether it is physical, psychological, spiritual, economical and social wellness. Preferably, we should opt for this alternative system of medicine.
